Overview

Thesify is an AI platform for academic researchers. It aims to give fast feedback on your argument, clarity and methodology so you can submit papers with confidence. The company says more than 30,000 academics at universities and research institutions use it, and that over 48,000 manuscripts have been improved.
Reviewer
Thesify's Reviewer reads a draft you have already written and reports what a peer reviewer would flag, covering argument, methodology, evidence, structure and clarity. It is pitched as instant feedback when supervisors or peers are slow to respond. Example feedback reports are available on the site.
Feedback Chat
Feedback Chat breaks feedback down into clear, actionable points, helping you understand what matters most and how to improve your paper.
Journal Recommender
The Journal Recommender suggests journals that match your manuscript, with key details to help you decide where to submit.
Coauthor
Coauthor is a newer product where you import drafts, PDFs and notes. Its AI agents search, read and draft, so you can focus on the research. Thesify says that unlike chatbots that just generate text, these agents take action to help you finish a paper.
Pricing
Reviewer is sold per review. A single review costs €14.95 with no commitment, and a pack of 3 reviews costs €39.95 (about €13.32 each, an 11% saving), enough for a draft, a revision and a resubmission. Larger packs and Coauthor plans are listed on the pricing page.
Who it suits
It suits PhD students, early-career researchers and academics preparing papers or theses for submission.
Things to consider
Check your university's and target journal's policies on AI use; many require disclosure and forbid AI-generated text in the paper itself. AI feedback can miss field-specific issues and is not a substitute for supervisor or peer review. Unpublished manuscripts are sensitive, so review how Thesify stores and uses uploaded work.
In practice, a researcher might run a draft through Reviewer before sending it to a supervisor, work through the flagged issues with Feedback Chat, and then use the Journal Recommender to shortlist where to submit. Coauthor is aimed at the earlier stage, when you are still gathering sources, reading papers and building a first draft from notes. The site's awards and press mentions are presented as social proof, but the most useful check is the example feedback report, which shows the depth and style of comments you can expect.
