Overview

LedgerBox is an AI bank statement converter. It extracts every transaction from PDF or image bank statements and converts them into Excel, CSV, QBO or JSON files. It is built for bookkeepers, accounting firms and businesses that spend time retyping statements into spreadsheets or accounting software.
Extraction and checking
LedgerBox extracts the statement's tables and checks them against the statement totals. Rows that don't match are flagged, so you can review them before exporting. In the app you approve, dismiss or edit each flagged row. The example on the site shows 142 rows extracted with none dropped and the statement marked as reconciled.
Source data only
An important design choice is that LedgerBox only extracts the values on the document. It doesn't add categories, and it flags values it cannot verify. That keeps the output traceable to the original statement.
Exports and integrations
You can export to Excel, CSV and JSON, and send data to QuickBooks Online. Paid plans include QBO and QuickBooks CSV exports. For Xero, you use CSV or Excel files. An API and webhooks are available. Statement guides cover banks in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia, and you can also upload statements from unlisted banks.
Security
Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per organisation, and never used to train models, according to the company.
Pricing
The Free plan, with no end date and no card required, covers up to 3 clients and 30 pages a month, with a client portal, sending to QuickBooks Online, Excel, CSV and JSON exports, and unlimited users. The Firm plan, for firms with more than 3 clients, costs $9 per client a month, or $7 on a 12-month term, with 50 pages per client shared across the firm and $0.20 per extra page. A client counts in a month when you send it a request, it uploads a file or you extract its pages. A separate plan exists for single businesses, and there is a 14-day free trial.
Things to consider
Always review flagged rows and spot-check totals before posting data to your books. Bank statements contain sensitive financial data, so check retention and access settings for your clients.
