Overview

Poe is a single app for chatting with many different AI models. Instead of paying OpenAI, Anthropic and Google separately, you open one interface and pick the bot you want: GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Kimi and DeepSeek models sit alongside image, video and audio generators from companies like Runway, Luma, ElevenLabs and Black Forest Labs. Poe says there are thousands of bots in total, including ones built by users, and you can chat privately or in a group.
How points work
Everything on Poe runs on compute points. Each bot shows its rate before you send a message: some charge a fixed amount per image, others bill by how much text they read and write, so longer replies cost more. Free users get a daily allowance that resets every 24 hours. Subscribers get a bigger pool, access to more models, and each bot's full context length, which Poe's help centre puts at up to 2 million tokens for some bots.
Unused subscription points don't roll over unless the plan says so. If you run out, you can wait for the reset or buy add-on points, which Poe prices at $30 per million and which expire a year after purchase. A per-message budget setting warns you before an expensive reply on community bots.
Subscription plans
Poe's plans page lists five tiers by allowance, not by name. Billed yearly (a 17% saving), they are:
- 10,000 points a day: $49.99 a year
- 660,000 points a month: $199.99 a year
- 1.65 million points a month: $499.99 a year
- 3.3 million points a month: $999.99 a year
- 8.25 million points a month: $2,499.99 a year
Monthly billing starts at $4.99 for the daily plan. Prices are in US dollars; local taxes and currency conversion can change the final amount. Checked October 2026 on poe.com/subscription_plans and Poe's help centre.
Who should consider it
People who like to compare answers from different models, or who need an occasional image or video generator without signing up for each one. Developers can also publish their own bots on the platform.
Pros: one bill for most of the major models; transparent per-bot rates; a cheap entry plan.
Cons: you can't easily tell how many conversations a points allowance buys; points expire each period; individual providers' own apps often get new features before Poe does.
Alternatives
ChatGPT and Claude are the obvious single-provider options. Genspark also mixes several models inside one workspace.
