Overview

Rekreate, reached at recreate.video, is an AI video app for short-form creators. Its idea is simple: instead of guessing what to post, you take a short video format that already performs well on TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts and recreate it in your own style.

How it works

You start by giving the app a viral video as a reference. Rekreate then helps you produce a similar video with your own face, character, brand or script. The site says you can create more than 100 variations of one idea for different platforms, which is useful for testing hooks and formats.

Several formats are shown on the homepage, including AI avatar videos, UGC-style clips, cartoon explainers and split-screen videos. For dance and trend videos, the app tracks the movement in the source clip and maps limbs and facial expressions onto your chosen character. Character swap lets you switch between realistic avatars and 3D characters. For cartoon explainers, it can animate scenes based on the emotional tone of your script and match a reference style you upload.

The site lists several third-party AI models it works with, such as Veo, Kling, Seedance, Nano Banana and ElevenLabs, so different parts of a video may come from different generators.

Pricing

You can sign up and get started from the homepage. The page does not show prices, so check plans and credit limits after creating an account.

Who it is for

Rekreate suits social media creators, small brands and marketers who post short videos often and want a repeatable way to turn proven formats into new content.

Things to consider

Recreating a format is different from copying content. Do not reuse someone else's footage, music, characters or words without permission, and do not put a real person's face on a video without consent. Platforms may label or limit AI-generated content, and some require disclosure, so check each platform's rules. Viral formats change fast, and a copied structure does not guarantee views; your own message and audience still matter. Generated motion and faces can look odd, so review every clip before posting. Read the terms on ownership and commercial use of the output, especially when third-party models are involved. The view and creator counts on the site are the company's own figures.
