Overview

FLOW Speak is an English speaking practice app that uses AI to give feedback on your spoken English. It focuses on conversational fluency and natural everyday expressions, with short lessons you can do on your own, without booking a teacher. It works in the browser and in mobile apps.
How it works
Lessons are short, from two to seven minutes each, and there are more than 1,200 of them. You practise speaking at your own pace and get instant AI-powered feedback. Because there are no appointments, you can fit practice into a break or a commute, and because you practise alone, it can feel less stressful than speaking with a live tutor.
Pathways
FLOW Speak Pathways are structured tracks based on common European language levels. The Beginner pathway takes learners from A2 to B1, the Intermediate pathway from B1 to B2, and an Advanced pathway continues from B2. Each pathway has three levels, and each level runs for eight weeks with 40 lessons and an achievement badge. Completing a pathway earns a certificate of completion.
Confidence badges
As you progress, you earn Confidence Level badges, which you can share on social media and show to employers or clients as evidence of your progress.
Pricing
You can start for free. Premium accounts unlock more content and features, and the site sometimes runs discounts on premium plans. Check the site for current prices.
Who it is for
It suits students preparing for study abroad, professionals who need English for meetings and clients, and learners who can read English but feel nervous speaking it. Testimonials include a university student and a Fulbright researcher.
Things to consider
AI feedback is useful for pronunciation and fluency practice, but it does not fully replace conversation with real people, who react in unexpected ways. Combine it with real conversations when you can. Badges and certificates show progress in the app but are not the same as official exams such as IELTS or TOEFL, which universities and employers may require. Practising a few minutes every day is usually more effective than long, rare sessions.
Starting with the free version is the best way to see whether the feedback style suits you.
