Overview

starryai is an AI image generator you can use in a mobile app or on the web, and many of the reviews it shows come from App Store users. You describe what you want, choose from a library of more than 1,000 styles and models, and get images back. starryai says images you create belong to you and come with commercial rights.

Besides text-to-image, the site lists tools to reimagine an uploaded photo, enhance and upscale images, and remove backgrounds, along with AI video. Its pages also point to uses such as avatars, headshots, interior ideas, anime and characters.

How Lumens work

starryai's credit is called a Lumen. The homepage says new accounts get 5 Lumens, enough for 25 images, and it advertises daily free images without watermarks. On paid plans the details matter, so here is what starryai's own help centre says about Unlimited Pro:

You can generate unlimited images with starryai and community styles, and keep generating after your Lumens run out, though possibly at a slower speed.
4x upscaling stays available in unlimited slow mode.
Image edits and transformations, video generation, and 8x or 16x upscales always use Lumens.
Unlimited Pro members can buy extra Lumens at a 50% discount.

In other words, "unlimited" covers standard image generation, not every feature.

Prices

starryai doesn't publish a pricing page on its website (starryai.com/pricing returns a "page not found" error), and plan prices are shown in the app or at checkout. starryai suits people who want to make AI images on their phone with minimal setup and like picking from preset styles. If you need precise editing, team features or transparent public pricing, look elsewhere.

Pros: simple, mobile-friendly app; large style library; you own what you make.
Cons: no public pricing page; the Lumen system takes some reading; advanced features cost Lumens even on unlimited plans.
