Overview

&AI is an AI workspace built for patent litigators, in-house counsel and litigation teams. The company, part of Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch, describes its aim as helping legal teams produce trial-ready work product quickly enough for client pitches and with enough rigour for court. The platform covers four main areas: claim charts, search, drafting and tables.
Claim charts
The charting tools generate invalidity or evidence-of-use claim charts element by element, with citations to prior art and to product documentation. &AI also produces claim constructions drawn from the patent itself, its prosecution history and its patent family. The company presents this as a way to cut work that normally takes days down to minutes, though every chart still needs review by a qualified attorney.
Search
Search runs across patents and published applications from major jurisdictions, non-patent literature such as research papers, standards and clinical trials, and product sources including current and archived listings, specifications, manuals, videos and teardowns. Bringing these together in one place is useful for prior art and infringement work, where evidence is often spread across many formats.
Drafting
The drafting area helps teams prepare invalidity contentions, expert reports and pitch materials grounded in the documents of a case. It offers templates with smart variables and generation blocks, plus a collaborative editor where the team and the AI refine documents together. The site lists an advisory board of practising patent litigators from major firms.
Pricing
Every plan includes full platform access and differs by credit rate. Pay as you go costs $0.40 per credit with no commitment. Pro costs $625 per user per month, includes 2,500 credits and charges $0.25 per credit after that, and comes with a free trial. Enterprise plans have custom credit rates and volumes. Annual billing is offered at a 20 percent discount.
Who it suits
&AI suits patent litigation boutiques, IP groups at large firms and in-house patent teams that handle invalidity and infringement analysis on a regular basis.
Things to consider
Ask how case documents are stored, who can access them and whether data is used for training. Credit use can be hard to predict on large matters, so track it during the trial. AI-generated charts and contentions can miss or misread references, and responsibility for filings stays with counsel.
