Overview

Qodo is the company formerly known as CodiumAI, and its focus has narrowed to one problem: reviewing code before it ships. Now at version 3.0, Qodo describes itself as quality control for the "agentic software factory," meaning teams where AI agents write a growing share of the code and humans need a reliable check on it.

The core product is multi-agent code review on pull requests. It enforces your organisation's standards on every PR, and a rules system turns the conventions your senior engineers keep repeating in review comments into written, self-learning standards. Around that:

  • Wisdom Base pulls in knowledge from your codebase, PR history and business requirements.
  • Cross Repo Review flags changes that would break other repositories downstream.
  • Software Map (new) shows how repos, services and contracts connect, so you can see the blast radius of a change.
  • Agentic Toolbox gives coding agents such as Codex, Claude and Kiro a CLI-based quality partner.

It works through Git and IDE integrations, with review skills you can run before a PR is even opened.

Pricing

Qodo has no permanent free tier. You start with a free 14-day trial (no credit card; sign in with GitHub, Google or email and install it on your repos), then pick a plan. Qualifying open-source projects can apply for free access.

  • Pro Team, for up to 30 users: the page shows a starting price of $30, with credits at $0.012 each, pooled across the team. Credit packs are sized for roughly 18, 36 or 144 reviews a month, and you can switch packs at any time. Billing is monthly with no annual commitment, and you can set a monthly overage cap.
  • Enterprise, for 30+ users: custom pricing with SSO/SAML, audit logs, governance analytics, bring-your-own LLM keys, single-tenant SaaS or on-prem deployment, and a dedicated CSM.

Smaller PRs use fewer credits than large or complex ones, and the dashboard shows your balance and burn rate. Checked October 2026 on qodo.ai/pricing.

Who it's for

Engineering teams with steady PR volume, especially ones adopting coding agents and worried about consistency. Solo developers will find the lack of a free tier a barrier.

Pros: review that learns your team's own rules; cross-repo impact checks; on-prem option for regulated companies.
Cons: credit-based billing needs monitoring; no free plan after the trial; the most advanced learning features are Enterprise-only.

Alternatives

For writing code rather than reviewing it, compare Cursor, Cline and GitHub Copilot.
