Overview

GanttPilot is an AI scheduling tool for people who already have a project plan and need to revise it. Instead of building a new schedule from scratch, you import your existing Excel or Microsoft Project file, review proposed changes, and export the updated plan for the next handoff. Your original file stays untouched.

How it works

The process has four steps. First, you import an Excel, CSV, Project XML or MPP file and check that the tasks, dates and dependencies came across correctly. Second, GanttPilot checks the schedule logic. It looks for missing dependencies, risky deadlines, resource pressure and the tasks most likely to drive the final date, which is the critical path.

Third, you describe what has changed in plain language, for example that an equipment delivery moves from October 5 to October 8. GanttPilot previews the impact on every affected task before anything changes. In the example on the site, installation, inspection and handover all shift by three days. Fourth, you approve the revision, save your working plan and export it as Excel or Project XML.

Pricing

There is no trial countdown. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 10 AI requests a month, which reset monthly, plus importing, previews, saving and export. Things to consider

The review-before-apply approach is a good safeguard, but you are still responsible for the final schedule. Check that imported dependencies, calendars and working days match your original file, since complex Project files may not convert perfectly. AI suggestions about risk and resources are only as good as the data in the plan. For very large programmes with resource levelling, cost loading or multi-user editing, a full scheduling suite may still be needed.
