Overview

Inyon enables you to control coding agents from your phone or any web browser. The Android app establishes an encrypted tunnel to a computer that is running a shell script. The script prints a QR code; scanning it pairs the phone with the machine so that you can see and interact with the agent's tmux session exactly as if you were sitting at the terminal.
Once paired, the app presents the entire tmux session as a chat stream. Each line of output from the agent appears in order, along with any diffs, file listings, or git tree views that the agent updates. When the agent issues a prompt, the phone shows a list of buttons that correspond to possible replies, such as “Run tests”, “Show plan”, or “Continue with this code”. Tapping a button sends the text back to the terminal, and the agent continues its work. If you need to type arbitrary shell commands, you can do so from the app by prefixing the line with “.” or by using the built‑in file search with “@”. The interface also allows you to view permission requests or sign‑in links that the agent presents, again as tappable items.
The system also allows a browser‑based hub to be set up on a machine that stays on. The hub serves the web app, connects to other computers over SSH, and lets the phone pair with it via QR code. This is useful for environments where a direct phone‑to‑computer tunnel is not possible, or when you want to manage multiple machines from a single web interface. The hub also provides a “private network” shortcut so that machines behind NAT can still be accessed without opening ports. Because the hub must have tmux and each agent installed, it works best on servers that can run a service continuously.
Inyon is aimed at developers who run code‑generation agents on their own hardware and want to monitor or guide them from a mobile device. It suits teams that need on‑call visibility or want to train agents from a distance. It is not designed for users who need a fully managed cloud service or who prefer desktop‑only workflows.
