Overview

Tensor.Art describes itself as a free online image generator and model hosting site, and the second half of that matters most. Much of the site is a library of models that community members have trained and published: checkpoints and LoRA style models built on bases such as Krea 2, Qwen-Image, Illustrious and Anima. You pick one, press Run, and generate with it in the browser, with no local GPU or install.
Around that library sit the usual community features. People post images and videos, others remix them (the feed shows how many times each one has been remixed), and there are articles, events and a leaderboard. Some models carry Exclusive or Early Access labels, so not everything is open to every account straight away.
Guided tools for people who don't want to pick models
If browsing checkpoints sounds like work, the featured tools are simpler entry points:
- OC Creator for designing an original character from scratch, and Create from Reference for turning a reference or character into new images or video.
- Design Agent, a chat interface for generating and editing designs.
- Anime Lab, Photoreal Studio and Motion & Pose Ref for specific looks and for guiding poses and camera framing.
- Smart Edit for changing an existing image, Brand Design for logos and marketing visuals, and Digital Avatar.
For more advanced users there are Workflows and a section called Forge, plus a creator area for publishing your own models.
Pricing
Generating starts free, and at the time of our check the homepage was running a free video trial with the Wan 2.2 model. The tensor.art/pricing address returned a "content unavailable" page, so we couldn't read paid plan details from a public page. Check the plans shown in your account after signing in before paying for anything. Checked October 2026.
Who it suits
Anime and illustration fans, people who like trying community fine-tunes, and model makers who want somewhere to publish their work. It is less suited to business users who need clear licensing and team controls, as those aren't laid out on the public pages.
Pros: a huge range of community models; free to start; guided tools for beginners.
Cons: no readable public pricing; quality and content vary from model to model; a busy interface.
